Ingredients list

  • Mixed Berries: Berries provide a rich source of antioxidants, vitamins, and fiber.
  • They contribute a tart and slightly sweet flavor, enhancing the overall taste profile of the smoothie. Their vibrant color also makes the smoothie visually appealing.
  • Mango Chunks: Mangoes add a tropical sweetness and a smooth, creamy texture to the smoothie.
  • Mangoes are rich in vitamins A and C, which boost the immune system and overall health.
  • Plus mangoes are also rich in potassium good for heart health. I prefer frozen mango for this Berry mango smoothie.
  • Fresh mangos are truly nice and juicier this time of year but they are also a lot of prep work. It is just easier to grab frozen and toss in the blender and that is it. No peeling and dicing and the mess.
  • Banana: I buy lots of bananas and I have learned to just freeze a bunch because you know how it is with bananas; They look so pretty but then after a few days they get spotty and I always swear I will make banana bread. I just hardly ever get to it.
  • The frozen banana offers natural sweetness and produces a creamy smoothie, with a thick texture. And they help in binding the other ingredients together for a smoother blend.
  • Bananas also boost the nutritional profile of this mango berry smoothie.
  • Bananas are a good source of potassium, folate, vitamin B6, and a good source of tryptophan.
  • Coconut milk yogurt: I am using lime coconut milk in this smoothie which adds creaminess and a tangy flavor to the smoothie.
  • It’s high in protein, which makes the smoothie more filling and nutritious. The probiotics in yogurt also promote gut health.
  • You can of course use plain Greek yogurt or vanilla yogurt or another type of plant-based yogurt.
  • Almond milk
  • Almond milk helps to blend the ingredients together and achieve the desired consistency. It adds a subtle richness and smoothness to the smoothie.
  • I am only using almond milk here cos I had it on hand. Feel free to use any milk you like.
  • Honey
  • For a sweeter smoothie, Iam using honey. I like honey because it’s a natural sweetener without the need for refined sugar, enhancing the overall flavor.
