Pineapple Habanero Smoothie

Equipment

  • Knife, bowl Food processor or blender if you want a blended smoothie

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh pineapple finely diced
  • 1-4 habanero peppers finely minced (adjust to taste)
  • 1 each of red and yellow bell peppers finely diced
  • 1 small red onion finely diced
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Combine all the fresh ingredients in a medium-sized mixing bowl: the chopped pineapple, minced red onion, red and yellow bell peppers, finely minced habanero peppers, fresh lime juice, chopped fresh herbs, and a pinch of Kosher salt, chili powder, paprika, and cumin powder.
  • Mix the ingredients well to ensure the flavors are evenly distributed.
  • Let the salsa sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the flavors to meld.
  • For best results, refrigerate the salsa for 1-2 hours before serving, stirring again to redistribute the juices that have settled.
