Many teas also have been used through the ages to reduce stress and calm the mind.
Additionally, various teas have many health benefits including ease digestion, boost energy, some, elevate mood, and improve sleep, and more.
However, any natural supplementation you take has the potential to interact with medications you may be on.

There is something quite soothing about drinking a warm-up of peppermint tea.
And the aroma is also very relaxing and soothing.

I love, love this loose-leaf peppermint tea for its fresh, rich flavor and the aroma seems to whisk my stress right off and just calms me down.
Just the word itself indicates calm. Chamomile has been used for ages for its ability to calm nerves and induce sleep.

This is not a once and done and dusted cure and none of them really are.
But drinking a cup of chamomile tea is soothing and calming whether you want one before bed or during the day to take the edge of anxiety off.

Also known as passiflora incarnate, passionflower was used by the native people of the Americas as a mild sedative. Passionflower tea which is sweet and delicate has been used throughout Europe as an antianxiety remedy for decades.
The flavonoids in passionflower are found to modulate GABA neurotransmitters thereby soothing anxiety.
Among many other uses, passionflower is used to reduce anxiety and insomnia.
While research is ongoing and inconclusive, also check with your doctor first before use.
Caution is also needed if you are pregnant as passionflower may induce contractions ( source)
Lavender is widely known for its ability to relieve anxiety and stress and has been used for centuries across many cultures.
And research supports its anxiolytic effects and even finding that lavender was as effective as benzodiazepine lorazepam in calming anxiety without the addictive effects of benzos.
One thing to note is that the research was on essential oil but good quality lavender tea will have a calming effect too.

Lemon Balm tea

So a little more GABA available in the brain means feeling calm and less anxious.
Lemon Balm is one of those herbs that have a soothing aroma too that relieves stress and makes one feel calm and happy.
A 2018 study in Clinical Nutrition Espen found that lemon balm helps soothes anxiety, stress, and depression.
Valerian has been used for ages as a sleep aid and research in Global Journal of Health Science indicated that that valerian reduces anxiety and also helps with insomnia
A good thing too because with anxiety and insomnia sometimes it is like the proverbial chicken and egg, which came first?
So brew a cup of valerian tea and you can forget answering that question and go one to sleep.
Or focus happy thoughts and feel at ease.
Green or black tea.
Both green and black tea contain L theanine. L theanine is an amino acid that has soothing properties that are mood-enhancing and help make one feel great after a cup of green or back tea.
When it comes to black tea I prefer just the tea grown at the foothills of Mt Kenya my homeland.
But given that I am living far from home, I have found other teas that are just as great such as the Twinings of London English Breakfast Black Tea Bags, 100 Count (Pack of 1).
